Our Story

Our story began with a heartbreaking moment that changed everything. While walking through a neighborhood in St. Louis, a group of friends witnessed someone experiencing a opioid overdose. One of them owned Naloxone — the life-saving antidote — but it wasn’t with her. That tragic moment of helplessness, combined with the realization that she could have made a difference if her Naloxone had been more accessible, became the catalyst for our mission. We knew something had to change, and we set out to create a solution that could save lives in moments just like this.

Determined to never let accessibility be a barrier again, we set out to re-imagine how naloxone could be carried — something small, durable, and always within reach. After seeing our friend attempt to have Naloxone on her keychain only for the plastic packaging to break, it became clear that the solution needed to be as resilient as it was practical.  That’s when we had the idea for NALOX-1: a weatherproof keychain made from thermoplastic rubber, designed to seamlessly integrate into daily life while protecting the life-saving medication inside.

Community-Driven Design

At nCase Technologies, we believe that life-saving tools should be in the hands of those who need them most. That’s why isn’t just designed in an office — it’s tested and trusted by the community. We worked with local organizations and real users, including those directly affected by the opioid crisis, to ensure our design met their needs. In fact, our carry case has already saved lives, proving that thoughtful design can make a real-world impact.
